McDonald's Celebrated Traditional Ben Nevis (46%)

This is a Ben Nevis bottled at 46% and matured mainly in sherry casks. It is non-chill-filtered. It recreates the original McDonald's Traditional, a popular dram in the 1880s, and was first made in 2010. Unlike the usual Ben Nevis bottlings, it was made with smoked malt. The label is designed to resemble a bottle from the 1880s held in the distillery's collection. The nose is smoky, with citrus, orange and lime. The palate brings dark chocolate and strong peat smoke mixed with spice, and the finish is lasting smoke with traces of coffee.
