A Kentucky straight bourbon at 51% in a 750ml bottle, made under the oversight of the Charles Medley Distillery. Charles Medley, who has fifty years in the industry, selects each barrel himself and decides when the bourbon is ready to bottle.
The mashbill is 77% corn, 13% malted barley and 10% rye, and the whiskey is aged for a minimum of four years in toasted, char level 3 barrels.
The nose offers toffee, vanilla bean, milk chocolate and creamed corn. On the palate come caramelised pineapple, roasted corn, ripe pear and cinnamon, with oak and clove. The finish is medium to long, with apple fruit leather, grilled peach and orange peel.
