The Original is the classic expression of the Meikle Toir line, a peated single malt aged five years and made at Glenallachie in Speyside. Meikle Toir means great endeavour and is pronounced mee-kuhl-tor.
The peating level is 35ppm, and the whisky was matured in first-fill bourbon barrels, virgin oak casks and ex-rye casks.
