Michter's 20 Year Old is a Kentucky straight bourbon from Michter's Distillery in Louisville, this bottle from the 2016 release and sold in a 75cl bottle.
It was approved by Master Distiller Dan McKee and Master of Maturation Andrea Wilson. The 20 Year is not released every year, only when the two judge that the available barrels have reached peak maturity, and 2016 was an approved year.
The nose is caramel, vanilla and dark chocolate with dried fruit. The palate is full-bodied and smooth, with dark fruit, leather, warm spice and deep caramel sweetness. The finish is long and warm, with a hint of spice and dark fruit.
