Michter's – Barrel Strength Straight Rye Whiskey (Single Barrel) (70cl, 53.7%)

Michter's Barrel Strength Straight Rye is a single barrel American rye whiskey, bottled at its natural cask strength of 53.7% without dilution, in a 70cl bottle. The US*1 Barrel Strength Rye was launched in May 2015. It is made from a mashbill with a high proportion of rye and was filled into new American oak barrels at 103 proof, lower than the industry standard. The nose is intense rye spice, oak vanilla, honey and a touch of bell pepper. On the palate, spicy rye leads, followed by caramel, dark chocolate and warm baking spices. The finish is long and warming, with rye spice, leather and a hint of mint oil.
