Michter's Shenk's Homestead 2024 (70cl, 45.6%)

Shenk's Homestead is an annual limited release of Kentucky sour mash whiskey from Michter's, inspired by one of America's oldest whiskey makers. This 2024 edition is bottled at 45.6% in a 70cl bottle. It keeps to the classic sour mash style, and once again uses specially toasted American oak barrels. It is made in small batches. The nose brings caramel, warm spices, light honey and orange zest. On the palate there is soft vanilla, cloves, baked apple and a little smoke. The finish is long, warm and spicy.
