Michter's Toasted Barrel Finish Straight Rye is a Kentucky rye whiskey bottled at 54.1% in a 70cl bottle. It was released in September 2023.
The rye is matured twice: first in new charred American white oak barrels, then in barrels made from wood air-dried for 24 months and toasted to Michter's specification.
The nose offers toffee, honey, black walnut and a hint of campfire. On the palate there are dark chocolate, salted caramel, cherries and fresh mint. The finish is spicy and rounded, with toasted oak.
