Michter's US*1 Small Batch is a Kentucky straight bourbon bottled at 45.7%, or 91.4 proof, in a 75cl bottle. The Michter's name carries a whiskey-making history dating back to 1753.
It is distilled in small batches in copper pot stills from corn, rye and malted barley, and aged for a minimum of four years in new, charred American white oak barrels. It is filtered at chill temperatures.
The nose is caramel, vanilla, dried fruit and toasted oak, with toffee and butterscotch. The palate is smooth, with brown sugar, stone fruit and baking spice over creamy butter and light oak tannins. The finish is warm and lengthy, with toasted oak, cinnamon, nutmeg and a gentle sweet corn note.
