Michter's US*1 Sour Mash is a revival of the original Michter's recipe, bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle. It sits between the distillery's bourbon and its rye.
The whiskey is aged for a minimum of 4 years in Michter's special Bourbon barrels, in a climate-controlled rickhouse. Heat cycling increases its contact with the wood, giving a mature, spicy and sweet character.
