Michter's – US*1 Toasted Barrel Finish Kentucky Straight Bourbon (70cl)

A Michter's US*1 Kentucky straight bourbon with a toasted barrel finish, in a 700ml bottle. It is a one-time release. The bourbon is aged to full maturity in the usual way, then moved for a further period to a custom-made finishing barrel. Its staves were air-dried for 18 months, and the barrel is toasted for a set time but never charred like a typical bourbon barrel. Tasting notes suggest campfire and cinnamon with pecan and candied fruit, and a lingering finish of baked pears, vanilla and marshmallow.
