Michter's – US*1 Unblended American Whiskey (70cl, 41.7%)

This is Michter's US*1 Unblended American Whiskey, bottled at 41.7% in a 70cl bottle. It is aged in whiskey-soaked barrels rather than new oak, so it falls outside the definition of bourbon or rye. It never contains grain neutral spirit, which is the reason for the word unblended in its name. The nose offers polished oak, buttery corn and a kick of caraway spice. The palate is creamy, with butterscotch, golden syrup and sultanas. Corn returns in the finish alongside peach and apple.
