Midleton – Very Rare Bottled 2023 (70cl, 40%)

Midleton Very Rare Bottled 2023 is the 2023 annual release of this Irish whiskey, bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle. It combines single pot still and single grain whiskeys matured in lightly charred American ex-bourbon oak. Master Distiller Kevin O'Gorman selected the casks, which hold whiskey between 13 and 33 years old. Each bottle is numbered and comes in a recyclable collector's box. The nose offers ripe pear and apple, then mango, charred oak, brown sugar, vanilla, nutmeg, cinnamon and clove. The palate has a silky texture with orchard fruit and pot still spice, and tannins, oak spice, floral notes and grain behind. The finish is long and nutty, with fruit, soft spice, oak and roasted coffee.
