This is a Texas straight rye from Milam & Greene, bottled at 47% in a 70cl bottle. The mash bill is 95% rye and 5% malted barley. The spirit was distilled in Indiana and matured in Texas, then finished in port casks. The nose combines layered rye aromas with dark fruit. On the palate come blackberries, chocolate with cocoa, subtle cinnamon and peanut brittle. The finish is long and carries a pleasant spiciness.
