Millstone Special #33 is a 10 year old Dutch single malt from Zuidam Distillers, made from unpeated malt and matured in first-fill Oloroso sherry casks. It was distilled on 28 May 2014 and bottled on 16 July 2024 at 46% ABV, without chill-filtering or added colouring.
The nose brings sherry, dark chocolate, dried fruit and toasted oak, with cherry, sandalwood and a touch of caramel. Raisins, dates and prunes lead the palate, joined by spicy oak, nuts and a hint of nutmeg, with chocolate and vanilla on a soft, full texture. The finish is long and turns pleasantly dry, with sweet wood, chocolate and light toasted notes alongside stewed fruit.
