A 6 year old Dutch single malt from Millstone, distilled in 2016 and bottled in 2025 by Blackadder in its Raw Cask series. It comes in a 70cl bottle, one of 703 from a single Oloroso sherry butt.
As with the whole Raw Cask series, it has not been filtered at all and may contain harmless cask sediment. Millstone uses windmills to grind its malted barley.
The nose has tobacco, muscovado sugar, a little raisin and a gentle copper note, then pralines, rose water, cocoa powder, cappuccino and liquorice allsorts. The palate is thick and mouth-coating, with spice, nougat, ristretto, mint and honeycomb. The finish is medium to long, with spices, dried fruits and gentle herbal notes.
