Millstone Special 31 Peated Palo Cortado

Millstone Special 31 is a peated Dutch malt whisky matured fully in old Palo Cortado casks, which give it its old-gold colour. It is made from a clear wort fermented slowly for seven days, followed by a slow distillation with a relatively early cut point. The nose is menthol freshness and campfire smoke over rich, warm undertones, with lemon and citrus. On the palate are apple, orange and other citrus, balanced by deep peat smoke. The finish is long and slightly drying.
