Minor Case Sherry Cask Finished Rye Whiskey is a rye whiskey finished in sherry casks, bottled at 45% ABV in a 750ml bottle. It comes from Limestone Branch Distillers in Lebanon, Kentucky, which Steve Beam launched in October 2010 and which remains a family affair, with a long line of distillers behind it.
The nose has earthy hints and sweet sherry. The palate is sweet, with candied butterscotch, and the sherried finish has a smooth, rounded mouthfeel.
