Miyagikyo Discovery is a peated Japanese single malt from Nikka, in a 70cl bottle at 48% ABV. It was released in 2021 as one of the first two bottlings in the Discovery series, in a limited run.
It is made from peated malt, which sets it apart from the floral and fruity character usually associated with the Miyagikyo distillery. Rich flavours combine with clearly recognisable peat smoke, giving a whisky that is new for the distillery.
