Nikka Coffey Grain Whisky is a Japanese single grain whisky bottled at 45% in a 70cl bottle. It was distilled at the Miyagikyo distillery in Coffey stills, a continuous method, using two column stills brought from Scotland in 1963. The spirit is one of the main components of Nikka's blends.
A high proportion of corn whisky gives a round, intense character.
Fruit leads, mainly apricot and banana, with harmonious spice: soft caramel, a touch of star anise and vanilla.
