Monkey Shoulder is a blended malt Scotch whisky from Speyside, bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle. It is made by William Grant.
The nose combines marmalade, Crema Catalana and malt with plenty of vanilla, a little winter spice and a hint of aniseed. The palate is malty and creamy, with a suggestion of berry fruit, toasted barley, cloves and butterscotch, then Manuka honey, hot buttered toast and dried apricot. The finish is of medium length, with spicy oak and a hint of peppermint.
