This is a red wine from Montes in Chile's Colchagua Valley, a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Malbec. It spends time in French oak barrels, which adds toasty, pastry-like notes.
The colour is an intense ruby red with violet tones. The nose is perfumed with ripe black and red fruit, with fig alongside blackcurrant, and hints of sweet spice and leather. The tannins are smooth and well rounded, and the wine finishes with a pleasing sweetness.
