Mossburn 12 Year Old Blended Malt Dupont Calvados Cask (57.2%)

This is a 12 year old blended malt from Mossburn, made from Speyside single malts of twelve years or more. It is the second release in the Cask Collaboration Series, created with Domaine Dupont, a Normandy family estate. The whisky was matured first in ex-bourbon casks, then married and moved into French oak that had held Dupont's Calvados and Pommeau. It is bottled at a natural cask strength of 57.2%, non-chill filtered and of natural colour, with 7,520 bottles released. The nose is green apple and ripe pear with honeyed florals. On the palate, baked red apple, vanilla cream, cinnamon and pink peppercorn. The finish is long, with apple crumble, hazelnut and toffee brittle.
