Mount Gay Exceptionally Aged 25 Year Old is a single-batch Barbados rum distilled in 1999 on a single column still by Master Blender Jerry Edwards. He filled it into ex-American oak bourbon casks, and Allen Smith and then Trudiann Branker oversaw its maturation. It was bottled in January 2026 at 47% ABV, with only 2,376 bottles made.
There is no added sugar and no flavouring, and the rum comes from distillation to bottle in Barbados.
The nose offers vanilla, red fruits, rich caramel and dark chocolate with hints of citrus. On the palate are raisin, warm cinnamon and tangy citrus, followed by a long, silky finish.
