Mt. Fuji Distillery – Fuji 30 Year Old Single Grain Japanese Whisky

Fuji 30 Year Old is a single grain Japanese whisky from Mt. Fuji Distillery. It is a blend of Canadian-style grain whiskies aged for more than 30 years, some of them for up to 40. The mash bill is corn and malted barley, distilled in batches using kettle and column still configurations. Maturation is entirely in first and second fill American white oak bourbon barrels, with no new oak used. The nose is sweet and fragrant, with nutty brown sugar syrup and ripe fresh and dried fruit. On the palate it is soft and concentrated, with honeyed sweetness and bitter chocolate. The finish is long and moderately woody.
