Murray McDavid Juniper Hill 8 Years Old Port Madeira & Barolo (53.5%)

Juniper Hill is a Murray McDavid Mystery Malt, an 8 year old single malt from an undisclosed Highland distillery near the River Findhorn. This is the third batch, released in the Autumn 2023 Mystery Malt collection. The spirit was matured in bourbon hogsheads, then finished in first-fill wine casks: Port from the Douro Valley, Madeira from the island of Madeira and Barolo from Piedmont. It was bottled in Autumn 2023 at a natural cask strength of 53.5% ABV, with natural colour and no chill filtration. The outturn is 1,602 bottles. It is described as a layered, fruit-rich dram with plenty of warmth.
