This is a blended malt from Murray McDavid, bottled in 2020 at 50% ABV as Batch 3 of The Vatting Peatside. It is a sweetly peated whisky.
The malt spent its first years in former bourbon hogsheads. Murray McDavid then moved it for a period into a couple of first fill Port casks to add a further layer of flavour.
This batch is more elegant than the previous Peatside, which was matured in PX sherry casks.
