Islay Gold is a 10 year old Islay single malt from Ian MacLeod, bottled at 40% ABV. It comes from an undisclosed Islay distillery, widely rumoured to be Caol Ila. Ten years of maturation have softened and integrated the peated spirit, leaving smoke, sea-salt brine and spice alongside citrus and honeyed malt. Vanilla oak and a gentle sweetness add richness, with mineral and coastal notes beneath.
