Natterjack Irish Whiskey Deliberate Mistake Limited Edition 2024 (70cl, 46%)

Natterjack Deliberate Mistake is a 2024 limited edition Irish whiskey at 46%, in a 70cl bottle. It began by accident, when 46 casks were left unattended for more than a year. The result was a whiskey with strong hickory barbecue notes and firm oak spice, and the edition was repeated on purpose. It is triple distilled from a mash of 80% corn and 20% malted barley, matured first in ex-bourbon casks and then finished in virgin oak casks charred to level 4. It is non-chill-filtered and coloured. The nose brings red fruit, barbecue smoke, toasted walnuts and orange peel. On the palate come vanilla, toffee, aniseed, liquorice, molasses and Granny Smith apple. The finish is of medium length, with leather and toasted grain.
