NED – The Wanted Series Loyalty Limited Edition (50cl, 50%)

Loyalty is Batch 4 of The Wanted Series, a range of Australian whiskies from the NED Barrel House. It is a limited edition in a 50cl bottle, bottled at 50% ABV. The whisky was made at the NED distillery in Campbellfield and matured in a blend of casks: 20-litre American oak, 200-litre virgin American oak and 500-litre European oak. The release marks the supporters who backed the distillery and were given their own 20-litre barrels in 2019. It won gold medals at the 2021 Australian Distilled Spirits Awards and the 2022 Melbourne International Spirits Awards. The nose is rich with sweet dried fruit and spiced oak. The palate is bold with tannin, softened by vanilla and caramel, and the finish is long with dark chocolate and orange.
