New Harbour Distillery – Bushveld Whisky

New Harbour Bushveld is a South African smoked single grain whisky from New Harbour Distillery. It is double distilled in a pot still and first matured in American oak ex-Bourbon casks. It is then finished in barrels smoked with Kameeldoring wood, which gives it its Bushveld character: gentle smoke and smouldering embers over honeyed sweetness, butterscotch and toffee. The nose combines honey and butterscotch with toffee, toasted oak and light embers. The palate is smooth and gently sweet with creamy butterscotch and warming oak, and the finish stays smoky, with sweet toffee and honey.
