New Louisville Whiskey Co. 8 Year Bourbon "West Coast Toast" is a single barrel, cask strength bourbon drawn from Barrel C499 and sold in a 750ml bottle. It comes from the private barrel label of Prohibition Craft Spirits in Louisville, Kentucky.
It spent eight years in new charred American oak and was bottled at 128.4 proof (64.2%), non-chill filtered and undiluted. The name refers to the barrel's toasted oak character and caramelised sweetness.
The nose combines toasted oak, vanilla, caramel and dark brown sugar with baking spice. The palate is rich and intense, with toasted marshmallow, toffee, cinnamon, nutmeg, honey and charred oak, followed by a long, warming finish of sweetness, spice and oak.
