New Riff Distilling Sour Mash Single Malt is a Kentucky whiskey that pairs Old World inspiration with the sour mash technique associated with Kentucky. It is bottled at 46% ABV (92 proof) in a 75cl bottle. It is made from up to six mash bills, which include British and Scotch-style malts, heavily smoked peated barley and heirloom varieties. The whiskey is distilled on a column beer still and doubler, then matured in a variety of cask types. The nose combines smoky peat and sweet malt with hints of oak and spice. The palate is rich, with layers of malt, smoke and subtle fruit, and the finish is long, with oak and a touch of sweetness.
