New Riff Kentucky Straight Rye Whiskey is a Bottled in Bond rye aged for four years in full-size 53-gallon barrels of toasted and charred new oak. It is bottled at 50% ABV without chill filtration.
The mashbill is 95% rye and 5% malted rye. The distillers learned the 95% rye style from Larry Ebersold, formerly of Seagram's, then added the malted rye to draw out more flavour and bring a touch of elegance.
The character is full-bodied and decidedly spicy.
