Nikka Coffey Grain is a Japanese grain whisky bottled at 45% ABV. It is made mostly from maize and distilled in a Coffey still.
It first appeared in 2012 and is regarded as the signature grain whisky of the Nikka distillery. The whisky matures in older casks, including refill casks and newly made, freshly charred American oak, which are used to keep the sweet, soft character of the Coffey distillate.
