Nikka Coffey Grain (70cl, 45%)

Nikka Coffey Grain is a Japanese single grain whisky, bottled at 45% in a 70cl bottle. It is made using the two Coffey stills at the Miyagikyo distillery, which were imported from Scotland in 1963. Nikka has released single cask single grain whiskies from these stills from time to time. This is its larger release. The nose has bourbon-like vanilla and corn with a herbal hint of chamomile. Melon, grapefruit and thick syrup come through on the palate, balanced by crunchy biscuits and fresh vanilla, and sweet, vibrant corn lingers on the finish.
