Nikka Coffey Grain Whisky is a Japanese single grain whisky, distilled mainly from corn in Nikka's Coffey stills at the Miyagikyo Distillery in Sendai. It is bottled at 45% ABV with no malt whisky blended in.
The Coffey still is a continuous still design dating from 1831, and Nikka imported its stills from Scotland in 1963.
The nose has tropical fruit, vanilla, caramel and coconut. The palate is silky and full-textured, with tropical fruit and vanilla sweetness, and the finish is long, smooth and fruity.
