Nikka – Gold & Gold Samurai Edition (75cl, 43%)

Nikka Gold & Gold Samurai Edition is a Japanese blended whisky in a 75cl bottle, bottled at 43%. It was first introduced in the 1960s, and the bottle is topped with a miniature samurai helmet and armour. The blend is made from malt and grain whiskies produced at Nikka's Yoichi and Miyagikyo distilleries, aged in a variety of casks. Nikka was founded in 1934 by Masataka Taketsuru. The nose offers fresh orchard fruits, light honey, malt and gentle floral notes. The palate shows ripe apple, pear, vanilla, toasted cereal and a hint of soft oak spice, followed by a clean, mellow, subtly sweet finish with lingering fruit.
