A 12 year old Japanese malt from Nikka, made entirely from whisky distilled at the Yoichi distillery. It is a vintage, discontinued bottling, at 43% in a 75cl bottle.
The profile balances rich malt sweetness with subtle smoke. The nose has dried fruit, honey and floral notes with a hint of smoke. On the palate there are spices, caramel and vanilla alongside a gentle smokiness. The finish is long and warming, with lingering sweetness and a touch of oak.
