Nikka Miyagikyo 12 Year Old is a single malt from the Miyagikyo distillery in Japan, made using steam heat distillation and aged for twelve years.
The whisky is described as soft and fragrant, full-bodied and fruity, with a sherry character. Aged casks lend sweet vanilla and gentle peat to the aroma.
On the palate there is a sweet, tangy fruitiness, with hints of toffee and polished malt.
