Nikka Miyagikyo Apple Brandy Wood Finish (70cl, 47%)

This is a Japanese whisky from Nikka's Miyagikyo distillery, bottled at 47% in a 70cl bottle. It was finished in casks that previously held apple brandy. It belongs to a range of special releases Nikka made to mark the hundredth wedding anniversary of its founder, Masataka Taketsuru. Each whisky in the range was finished in ex-apple brandy casks. Apple, cinnamon and caramel are the notes most often associated with it.
