Nikka Miyagikyo Manzanilla Wood Finish 2018 (70cl, 48%)

Nikka Miyagikyo Manzanilla Wood Finish is a single malt Japanese whisky, bottled in 2018 at 48% in a 70cl bottle. It joined Nikka's wood finished series in 2018, alongside a Bourbon Wood and a Sherry Wood Finish. Miyagikyo is described as a soft and fruity whisky, made with lightly peated malt. The finish here uses Manzanilla, a drier style of sherry. Those pale, bone dry wines are aged in cellars by the sea in the Spanish town of Sanlucar de Barrameda.
