A Japanese single malt from the Nikka Miyagikyo distillery on the island of Honshu, near the city of Sendai, in a 70cl bottle at 45% ABV. The malt is unpeated and was distilled in pot stills with indirect steam at a low temperature. It is matured mainly in sherry casks.
The nose offers barley, exotic fruit and banana. Chocolate and spice lead the palate, with coconut and tobacco later. The finish is long and spicy, with lime, grapefruit, tobacco, cinnamon, roasted nuts and stewed fruit.
