Nikka – Session (70cl)

Nikka Session is a blended malt whisky from Nikka, sold in a 70cl bottle. It brings together malts from Ben Nevis in Scotland and from Nikka's own Miyagikyo and Yoichi distilleries in Japan. The aroma is of ripe fruit, light floral notes and a little peat smoke, followed by a palate of sweetness, acidity and spice. In the glass, the nose is green apple, pear and honeysuckle with faint peat smoke. The palate moves from honeyed malt to citrus and tropical fruit, with vanilla and gentle spice. The finish is smooth and lingering, with warmth, toasted oak and a little smoke.
