Nikka Taketsuru Pure Malt

Nikka Taketsuru Pure Malt is a Japanese blended malt named after Masataka Taketsuru, who learned whisky-making in Scotland and went on to produce whisky in Japan. Taketsuru believed the natural surroundings of a distillery were essential to the quality of the whisky. He chose Yoichi and Miyagikyo as the two places to build distilleries. It is described as having a gentle malt flavour and fruitiness, with a well-balanced taste.
