This is a Yoichi single malt from Nikka's distillery on the island of Hokkaido, Japan. It belongs to the Nikka Discovery series, which shows experiments carried out during whisky making at Nikka.
Only unpeated grain was used for this edition, and 4,812 bottles were produced worldwide. It is bottled at 47%.
The nose offers vanilla and ripe light fruit such as apricot, honeydew melon and peach. On the palate it is fruity and intense, with a sweet mix of fruit and spice and some oak. The finish is long and fruity, with oak, malt and spice.
