Nikka Yoichi Non Aged is a Japanese single malt in a 70cl bottle, bottled at 45% ABV. It carries no age statement, and each expression of Yoichi differs from the one before. This one is described as balanced and full of personality, with a golden copper colour.
The nose opens with fruit and pastry, then oaky notes and warm spices, before a slight peat develops. The palate is lively and fresh, with more pepper, nutshell notes and peat returning a little stronger. The finish turns salty and oaky, with a well-contained woodiness.
