Nikka Yoichi Non Peated 2021 (70cl, 47%)

This Yoichi single malt comes from Nikka's Discovery series and departs from the distillery's usual peated character by using unpeated malt. It was released in late 2021 as a limited edition, one of two whiskies in the series built around a variety of ingredients. Both are non chill-filtered, and this one is bottled at 47% in a 70cl bottle. The nose offers acacia honey, golden apple and ginger. The palate is energetic, with citrus fruit, coffee bean, mixed nuts and lingering spice.
