Ninety is a five-year-old Canadian whisky from Highwood Distillers in Alberta, in a 75cl bottle at 45% ABV. It is made from a corn-based distillate and aged in charred oak barrels.
The style is smooth but lively, with gentle sweetness meeting wood spice, vanilla, butterscotch and warming grain.
The nose combines sweet corn, vanilla and light butterscotch with dry grain, subtle baking spice and seasoned oak. The palate is soft, with corn sweetness, vanilla and butterscotch balanced by wood spice. The finish is warming and moderately spicy, with lingering oak, grain, butterscotch and subtle sweetness.
