Vega is a 20 year old blended malt Scotch whisky from North Star Spirits, part of an astronomy-inspired series named after the star Vega. This is Limited Edition No. 7. It was distilled in June 2000 and bottled in October 2020, with an outturn of 600 bottles, and matured in European and American Oloroso sherry casks. It is bottled at 43.5% ABV.
The nose offers tropical fruit, raspberry, dark chocolate and foam banana. The palate is full, with stewed plums and apples, hints of gingerbread and crème brûlée. The finish is lightly dry, with spicy notes of ginger and orange.
