A single barrel Kentucky straight bourbon from Nulu, matured for eight years and then finished for six months in barrels that previously held maple syrup and were re-toasted. It is bottled at barrel strength, 65.6% (131.2 proof), without chill filtration.
This barrel carries the pick name Nutty Nilla Wafer. The nose is buttery maple and brown sugar with caramelised sugar, vanilla and toasted oak. The palate is rich and creamy, with maple syrup, toasted nut, vanilla wafer, nutmeg and clove, and the finish is long and warming.
